N/A Bob Byron & Mike Wilcox, Club AJAX

Bob Byron works for NeXplore Corporation, a corporation dedicated to radically improve the online experience. He has been using AJAX technology in development of NeXplore's innovative social search engine. A veteran of client and server side development, Bob has an extensive background in the various techniques involved in bringing an application through the entire life cycle to get it to market. Bob is a current contributer to the Dojo Toolkit. He has been coding in Java since soon after its release in the mid 1990's. In 2006, Bob was the President of the Java Metroplex Users Group in Dallas, preceding that by two years as Vice President. He ran the Java Developer's Group for 5 years bringing the latest techniques and expertise to attendees.

Mike Wilcox is an employee of one of the top AJAX companies in the United States, SitePen Inc., which is an active contributor to the Open Web and the Dojo Toolkit. As one of their more versatile software engineers, Mike not only codes for their biggest clients, but designs user interfaces. As a Dojo committer, he is a key developer for the new Deft project that implements Flash components and most of the new multi-media features in DojoX as he continually works to bridge the gap between JavaScript and the Flash environment. Previously, at Nexplore Corporation as Project Director for their search engine, Mike wrote two patents, and implemented Dojo for their base code. Mike graduated college from the Art Institute of Dallas where he studied 3D Animation and Game Programming. Mike shows a special interest in debugging, and has maintained the Dojo variation of Firebug Lite, introducing many new features, bringing it close to the functionality of Firebug. Mike currently belongs to the Firebug Working Group, along with well known members of the JavaScript community, like Douglas Crockford and John Resig.
